Improve Your Overall Cycling Skills and Performance in 2014

2014 has arrived, and now is one of the best moments to change habits and implement more innovative and more healthy practices. Maybe you would like to beat your personal best in a 40K time trial or win the local criterium. That’s fine. It would help if you had goals for your training.

If you want to change habits (like many people do on January 1st), you should focus on behavior instead of overall goals. And January 1st is the perfect time to set new goals and targets.

If you want to ride faster, you should focus on your training today (not your overall goals). Do your best to improve your training habits. I guess you already know at least two or three things you can do better (getting intervals done, sticking to a program, prioritizing training, etc.)

Many riders will find some excuse not to get back in the saddle: the tricky bit is to motivate yourself enough to drag your body off the sofa.

I won’t push you out for training today.

But today, you can find the courage and take the first step towards glory:
